Mable Emilie (Rumburg) Meites
Mable Emilie (Rumburg) Meites '42 grew up in rural Ellington, Mo. She says, "In the country people help each other." Seeing her neighbors share with each other made an impression. When Mable came to MU she found social work allowed her to help others in need. "It's amazing what you can do in life with a college education," she says.
Why a Charitable Giving Annuity?
Mable says she and her late husband, Dr. Joseph Meites, strongly supported education and research. "When we retired our financial planner urged us to build our portfolio. Sometime later we learned about the charitable gift annuity. We found that, at our age, we would receive better income and provide gifts for our alma mater."
